Nathan Gow – Podiatrist
Nathan has been practicing podiatry for 8 years. During his training at the University of Newcastle, he attended placement with a variety of podiatry clinics ranging from a Biomechanics and Orthotic specialist clinic in the heart of the city to a rural High-Risk Foot Service.
After completing his bachelor degree in podiatry in 2015, Nathan has worked in 2 local health districts. From this experience, Nathan has developed a solid foundation in providing good healthcare to patients. Specifically, Nathan developed the skills and passion for treating patients with diabetes related foot disease using advanced wound care techniques and total contact casting.
Nathan has worked closely with a specialised team of Podiatrists, Vascular and Orthopaedic Surgeons, Endocrinology and Allied Health Professionals to provide care for patients with limb-threatening diabetes related foot disease.
Nathan has a particular interest in the treatment of preventable diabetes related foot disease, particularly charcot neuro-arthropathy and osteomyelitis. Nathan’s focus as a Podiatrist is to provide thorough, comprehensive foot care to patients, to help people maintain good foot health and stay healthy and happy.
He has enjoyed his career so far, particularly the wonderful patients, colleagues, mentors and students he has met along the way.
Nathan grew up on the Central Coast and had an early introduction to health from his father who was a Physiotherapist. Fun fact: Nathan is one of 3 brothers who are also practising Podiatrists on the Central Coast.
Outside of work, Nathan enjoys exercise, reading, watching rugby and spending time with his wife and 2 daughters.
